IMPLEMENTASI STRATEGI PQ4R PADA MATERI INDUKSI MATEMATIKA

Abstract

Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan implementasi strategi PQ4R yang dapat meningkatkan pemahaman mahasiswa pada materi induksi matematika. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas. Instrumen penelitian adalah lembar observasi aktivitas dosen, lembar observasi aktivitas mahasiswa dan lembar tes. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh hasil bahwa hasil observasi dosen sebesar 88, 4% dan hasil observasi mahasiswa sebesar 93,25 % dengan kategori sangat baik. Sedangkan hasil tes tuntas secara individu dan secara klasikal sebesar 85,71%. Kesimpulan adalah implementasi strategi PQ4R pada materi induksi matematika dapat meningkatkan pemahaman mahasiswa mempunyai langkah-langkah sebagai berikut: (a) preview yaitu mahasiswa membaca materi dari lembar kerja yang diberikan dosen, (b) question yaitu mahasiswa membuat pertanyaan berdasarkan materi yang dibaca, (c) read yaitu mahasiswa membaca buku panduan secara aktif, tujuannya agar mahasiswa dapat menentukan pemecahan masalah dari pertanyaan yang mereka buat, (d) reflect yaitu mahasiswa berkelompok dan saling membaca, mengoreksi pertanyaan dan jawaban teman sekelompok, (e) recite yaitu dalam kelompok mahasiswa membuat intisari atau rangkuman dari pertanyaan dan jawaban yang dibuat sebelumnya, (f) review yaitu mahasiswa mempresentasikan hasil intisari atau rangkuman yang mereka buat Kata Kunci: implementasi, PQ4R, induksi matematika Abstract: The purpose of this study is to describe the implementation of the PQ4R strategy which can improve students' understanding of mathematics induction material. This type of research is classroom action research. The research instruments were lecturer activity observation sheets, student activity observation sheets and test sheets. Based on the research results, it was found that the results of lecturer observations were 88.4% and student observations were 93.25% with very good categories. While the results of individual and classical completeness tests were 85.71%. The conclusion is that the implementation of the PQ4R strategy on mathematics induction material which can improve students' understanding has the following steps: (a) preview, namely students reading material from worksheets provided by lecturers, (b) question, namely students making questions based on the material read, (c) read, namely students reading guidebooks actively, the goal is for students to be able to determine the problem solving of the questions they make, (d) reflect, namely students in groups and reading each other, correcting questions and answers from group mates, (e) recite, namely in groups students make the essence or summary of the questions and answers made previously, (f) review, namely students presenting the results of the essence or summary they made.
