MEMAHAMKAN OPERASI PECAHAN MELALUI PENERAPAN GRUP INVESTIGASI

Abstract

Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian adalah mendeskripsikan penerapan Grup Investigasi dengan meng- gunakan pita pecahan untuk memahamkan operasi pecahan pada siswa kelas VII SMP PGRI Kanigoro. Langkah-langkah pembelajaran yang dapat memahamkan siswa terdiri dari enam tahap, yaitu (1) mengidentifikasi topik dan mengatur siswa dalam kelompok, (2) merencanakan tugas yang akan dipelajari (3) melaksanakan investigasi, (4) menyiapkan laporan akhir, (5) mempresentasikan laporan akhir dan (6) evaluasi. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindak- an Kelas (PTK) atau Classroom Action Research, yang tujuan untuk memperbaiki atau me- ningkatkan pembelajaran materi pecahan di kelas VII secara berkesinambungan. Penelitian ini terdiri dari dua siklus, pada siklus pertama terdiri dari dua pertemuan dan pada siklus kedua terdiri satu pertemuan. Sumber data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII SMP PGRI Kanigoro yang terdiri dari 17 siswa tahun pelajaran 2011/2012. Hasil pengamatan aktivitas terhadap guru dan siswa menunjukkan hasil sangat baik. Hasil tes akhir siklus II diperoleh presentase ketuntasan klasikal sebesar 88%, yang mengalami peningkatan dibandingkan siklus I sebesar 65%. Rata-rata skor tes akhir siklus II sebesar 88,4, yang meng- alami peningkatan dibandingkan siklus I sebesar 83,8. Peningkatan rata-rata kelas ini pada katagori sangat baik. Hasil wawancara menujukkan juga bahwa siswa antusias dengan adanya penerapan Grup Investigasi. Learning steps to get the hang of students consists of six stages: (1) identify topics and organize students in the group, (2) planning task to be learned (3) conducting investigations, (4) prepare a final report, (5) presented final report and (6) evaluation. The study was Classroom Action Research (CAR) or Classroom Action Research, which aim to improve or enhance the learning material in class VII fractions continuously. The study consisted of two cycles, the first cycle consisted of two meetings and in the second cycle consists of the meeting. Sources of data used in this study were all students of class VII SMP PGRI Kanigoro consisting of 17 students in the academic year 2011/2012. The observation activities for teachers and students showed very good results. The test results obtained by the end of the second cycle percentage classical complete- ness by 88%, which was higher than the first cycle of 65%. The average score of the final test cycle II of 88.4, which was higher than the first cycle of 83.8. The increase in the average grade at the category very well.
