PEMBELAJARAN PEMECAHAN MASALAH PADA SISTEM PERSAMAAN LINEAR DUA VARIABEL BAGI SISWA KELAS VIII MADRASAH TSANAWIYAH

Abstract

Abstrak: Sebagian besar siswa masih belum dapat memahami strategi untuk memecahkan masalah matematika yang diberikan guru. Seperti pada materi sistem persamaan linear dua variabel. Kesalahan siswa dalam memecahkan masalah menunjukkan siswa belum dapat mewakili suatu benda sebagai variabel dan keterangan pada suatu benda menunjukkan operasi dan koefisien dari benda yang dimaksud.. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menerapkan pembelajaran pemecahan masalah pada sistem persamaan linear dua variabel bagi siswa kelas VIII B MTs Ma’arif NU Gandusari tahun pelajaran 2009/2010. Langkah-langkah pembelajaran pemecahan masalah yaitu guru memberikan masalah yang dilanjutkan kegiatan siswa dengan merumuskan masalah, membuat hipotesis, mengumpulkan data, menguji hipotesis, membuat kesimpulan, dan aplikasi atau penerapan pada soal yang berbeda. Kata kunci : pemecahan masalah, sistem persamaan linear dua variabel.
