UPAYA MENINGKATKAN BERFIKIR KREATIF MELALUI PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE TAI BERDASARKAN TEORI BEBAN KOGNITIF

Abstract

Abstrak: Pembelajaran efektif berdasarkan teori beban kognitif terjadi jika beban kognitif intrinsik dikelola, beban kognitif germane ditingkatkan, dan beban kognitif extraneous dikurangi. Penerapan pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TAI (Team Assisted Individualization) berdasarkan teori beban kognitif merupakan salah satu upaya meningkatkan berfikir kreatif melalui pembelajaran yang efektif. Artikel ini merupakan hasil penelitian tindakan kelas yang terdiri dari dua siklus dan bertujuan untuk mengkaji penerapan pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TAI berdasarkan teori beban kognitif untuk meningkatkan berfikir kreatif mahasiswa offering D angkatan 2012 di STKIP PGRI Blitar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TAI berdasarkan teori beban kognitif dapat digunakan untuk mengelola beban kognitif intrinsik, meningkatkan beban kognitif germane , dan mengurangi beban kognitif extraneous, sehingga dapat meningkatkan berfikir kreatif mahasiswa pada matakuliah Geometri Analitik. Kata Kunci : pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TAI, berfikir kreatif, teori beban kognitif Abstract: Effective learning based on cognitive load theory happen when the intrinsic cognitive load was managed, germane cognitive load was improved, extraneous cognitive load was reduced. The implementation of cooperative learning TAI (Team Assisted Individualization) based on cognitive load theory is one way to improve creative thinking through effective learning. This article is the result of action research, its consists of two cycles and aims to assess the implementation of cooperative learning TAI based on cognitive load theory to enhance the creative thinking of students offering the D class 2012 at STKIP PGRI Blitar. The results show that the cooperative learning TAI based on cognitive load theory can be used to manage the intrinsic cognitive load, increase germane cognitive load, and reduce extraneous cognitive load, thus increasing the creative thinking of students in subject of Geometry Analityc.
