Abstract

Abstrak: Seleksi calon mahasiswa merupakan modal awal dalam memberikan pelayanan Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi secara optimal sehingga menjadi lulusan yang berkualitas dalam IPTEK, inovatif, responsif, kreatif, terampil, dan berdaya saing. Pengumpulan data (metode dokumentasi) dan wawancara. Subyek penelitian berjumlah 184 (penelitian populasi) mahasiswa reguler peserta seleksi tahun akademik 2009/2010 dan telah lulus pada semester genap tahun akademik 2012/2013. Analisis data menggunakan regresi linier ganda. Berdasarkan hasil analisis disimpulkan 1) Hasil TPA yang dilakukan dalam seleksi calon mahasiswa baru berpengaruh terhadap kualitas lulusan, dengan kontribusi sebesar 13,5%; 2) Seleksi wawancara untuk mengetahui tingkat motivasi, minat dan bakat berpengaruh terhadap kualitas lulusan dengan kontribusi sebesar 3,9%; dan 3) Secara simultan hasil TPA dan wawancara pada seleksi berpengaruh terhadap kualitas lulusan dengan kontribusi sebesar 17,4%. Kata kunci: Tes Potensi Akademik, Wawancara, Kualitas Lulusan Abstract: The selection of prospective students is the initial capital in providing services of Tri Dharma University qualified optimally to become graduates in science and technology, innovative, responsive, creative, skilled, and competitive. The data collection (documentation method) from the result of Academic Potential Test (X1) is early information about academic ability and the result of interviews; (X2) is level of motivation, interests and talents of prospective students and the quality of graduates; (Y) is cumulative grade index (CPI). Research subjects are 184 (population study) from the regular student participant on academic year 2009/2010 selection which have passed the second semester of the academic year 2012/2013. Based on the data analysis (Multiple Linear Regression), it is concluded : 1) the results of Academic Potential Test were performed in the new student selection affects the quality of graduates, with a contribution of 13.5% ; 2) interview is to determine the level of students’motivation, interest and candidate new students’ talent affect the quality of graduates with a contribution of 3.9%, and 3) simultaneously result of TPA and interview on the candidate new student selection affect the quality of graduates with a contribution of 17.4%.
