UNDERSTANDING THE FIELD IN THE EMPLOYMENT CONTRACT AGREEMENT OF VARIETY WOODS AND GREENHEART LTD

Abstract

Abstract: This is a descriptive qualitative study aimed at understanding the field in the employment contract agreement of Variety Woods and GreenheartLtd a timber company located in Guyana. The field which is expressed in the experiential function of language represents the topic of the text. It displays whether the lexical choices are those of common sense/everyday use or the technical/specialized ones. The result shows that the employment contact agreement under the theme of letter mostly uses technical/ specialized language. From this finding, it was implied that the characters involved in the text are those of the employer and employee. Keywords: field, employment conhact agreement, Variety Woods and Greenheart Ltd. Abstrak: Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualilatif yang bertujuan untuk memahami lield dwr surat kontrak kerja Variety Woods and Heart Ltd. sebuah perusahaan kayu yang berlokasi di Guyana.Fieldyangtergambarpada fungsi eksperiensial bahasamewakili topik dari teks, Field menuqjukkan pilihan kata yang digunakan termasuk bahasa umum/ keseharian atau bahasa tehnis/khusus. Hasil penelitian menuqjukkan bahwa bahasa yang digunakan dalam surat kontrak kerja dengan tema surat sebagian besar adalah bahasa tehnis/khusus. Dari temuan ini tersirat bahwa yang terlibat dalam teks adalah pekerja dan majikan. Kata kunci: Jield, surat kontrak kerja, Variety Woods and Greenheart Ltd.
