Abstract

Abstrak: Kepala Sekolah merupakan motor penggerak dalam peningkatan mutu sekolah. Sekolah akan memiliki mutu yang unggul serta memiliki daya saing apabila dipimpin oleh kepala sekolah yang mengimplemtasikan tipe kepemimpinan tranformatif, melalui tahapan berikut ini: (1) menyelaraskan motif kepala sekolah, tenaga pendidik dan tenaga kependidikan, (2) mengembangkan kemampuan dalam pengetahuan/koqnitif dan keterampilan, (3) membangun budaya organisasi (4) merumuskan visi dan (5) implementasi visi sekolah. Kata Kunci: Sekolah unggul, daya saing, kepemimpinan transformatif Abstract: The Principal is the driving force in improving the quality of schools. Schools will have superior quality and competitiveness if led by principals who implement transformative leadership types, through these stages: (1) aligning motives of principals, educators and education personnel, (2) developing skills in knowledge/cognitive and skills, (3) building organizational culture (4) formulating vision and (5) implementing school vision.
