PENERAPAN TREFFINGER BERBASIS REALISTIC MATHEMATICS EDUCATION(RME) PADA MATERI LINGKARAN UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN PEMECAHAN MASALAH SISWA

Abstract

Abstrak: Kemampuan pemecahan masalah menjadi salah satu tujuan pembelajaran matematika di sekolah. Akan tetapi, masih banyak siswa yang belum memenuhi kemampuan tersebut seperti pada materi lingkaran. Maka dari itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan Treffinger berbasis Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) pada materi lingkaran untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah tes hasil belajar, kemampuan pemecahan masalah, dan lembar observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran matematika materi lingkaran dengan model Treffinger berbasis Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) dapat meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa. Hasil tes hasil belajar secara klasikal 86,11%. Kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa mencapai 80,56%. Hasil observasi aktivitas guru 88,5% dengan predikat Baik dan hasil observasi aktivitas siswa 86% dengan predikat Baik. However, there are many students who have not fulfilled that ability as in the matter of the circle. Therefore, this research purpose to describe the application of Treffinger based on Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) on the circle material to improve student’s problem solving abilities. The form of this research is classroom action research. The data collection techniques are test, problem solving skill, and observation sheets. The research result showed that learning mathematic circle material with Treffinger based on Realistic Mathematic Education (RME) model can improve student’s problem solving ability. The result of test classically 86,11%. Student’s problem solving ability reached 80,56%. The result of teacher’s activity observation 88,5% with Good predicate and the result of student’s activity observation 86% with Good predicate.
