Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui persepsi mahasiswa terhadap pelaksanaan hukuman mati di Indonesia. Data penelitian diambil dengan mempergunakan angket yang diberikan kepada seluruh mahasiswa prodi PPKn UNIPA PSDKU Blitar yang menjadi populasi sekaligus sampel. Sedangkan untuk kepentingan analisa data dipergunakan teknik prosentase dengan 5 klasifikasi berdasarkan pada skor rata-rata. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan, bahwa persepsi mahasiswa terhadap pelaksanan hukuman mati dinyatakan sangat setuju jika ditinjau dri tujuannya (rata-rata skor 4,33, dari jenis kejahatan (4,60); dari procedure pelaksanaan (4,60%) . Sedangkan apabila ditinjau dari pandangan Pancasila mahasiswa menyatakan Setuju (rata-rata 4,18). Dengan demikian maka hukuman mati tetap bisa dijadikan alternative hukuman dengan melalui pertimbangan yang seksama dan bijaksana. Kata Kunci: Persepsi mahasiswa, hukuman mati Abstract: This study aims to determine students’ perceptions of the implementation of the death penalty in Indonesia. The research data was taken using a questionnaire given to all students of the PPKn UNIPA PSDKU Blitar study program who became the population as well as the sample. Meanwhile, for the purposes of data analysis, the percentage technique is used with 5 classifications based on the average score. The results showed that the students' perceptions of the implementation of the death penalty were very agreeable when viewed from the objectives (average score 4.33), the type of crime (4.60); of the implementation procedure (4.60%). Meanwhile, when viewed from the Pancasila point of view, students agree (average 4.18). Thus, the death penalty can still be used as an alternative punishment through careful and wise considerations.
